Good Morning all! What a beautiful day it is today, the sun is shining and I am enjoying the last few days of summer...well school has started but things are still a bit slow so I am trying to eek out a bit more of summer. I am ready for fall weather though, it has been mighty hot here the last few days. Today is a very special day for a very special person, it is Nichole Heady's birthday! She is turning 30 - wow, she has certainly accomplished A LOT in her first 30 years! She is a woman who constantly inspires me, from her out of this world stamp designs and product innovations at Papertrey Ink to her warm, friendly smile and her amazing ability to "do it all" (wife, mother, designer, cook, friend, etc.) with such ease. I am privileged to know her and to learn from her everyday. Thank you Nichole for the opportunities you have given me and the inspiration you provide not only to me but to all women! Here is the birthday card I made for her using my current favorite floral set, Floral Fusion, it is the CHA exclusive set. I just love it to pieces and cannot stop using it! I added a little bit of Polka Dot Basics II on the side border, stamped in Versamark ink. The flower itself was first inked with Summer Sunrise, then rolled in Pure Poppy, those colors look so great together! I added the center to the flower with Pure Poppy as well and ahered a small red gem to the center. The stem was stamped in Ripe Avocado and the sentiment in Dark Chocolate, all on Rustic White cardstock.
Here's the close up...I absolutely love stamping on the rustic papers, they just give the images a little softer feel. I also added a strip of Bitty Box Basics paper to the edge and some Summer Sunrise cardstock punched with my Upper Crest border punch from Fiskars.

Beautiful, I love this!!! Great layout, colors and details. Everything about it is just perfect! I love that Upper Crest Punch but I just can't find it anywhere in my area. Still looking though.

This is such a cool design with the extra long red strip. Love the yellow flower center too.
