Good Morning all! First off, thank you to all the veteran's that have kept our freedom alive and kept us all safe for so long. We literally owe our lives to all who serve and are serving this wonderful country of ours. We are all off today, enjoying some quiet time at home and maybe a little shopping later. We have talked with Jakey about some of the people in our family who have served our country and what they did in the armed forces. I am not sure if he takes in half of what we say, but I know we will keep talking about it. My husband is really excited cause he got what is apparently the biggest video game ever - Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (are you all impressed I know the name;)?) and he gets to run around and shoot bad guys with his buddies. IAnd yes, I just admitted that my husband plays video games...um, a lot. But only when the kids are not around...well mostly when the kids are not around.
So, anyhow enough blah blah blah from me...onto my card for today. I made a bunch of cards with Vintage Ornaments when I was designing my card for the Moxie Fab blog. This is one of the bunch and maybe my favorite one...it uses soft colors for the ornaments hanging around the card, I stitched above each one so they aren't floating and used coordinating buttons to accent them. The colors on this just make me happy - Spring Moss with Ripe Avocado, Sweet Blush with Hibiscus Burst, and Aqua Mist with Ocean Tides, so so pretty.
The card measures 3.75x6, one of my go to card sizes, I just like the balance of that size a lot of the time. The sentiment is stitched on with messy stitches...not my best work. In fact here's something funny, I showed this card to my husband and he pointed to those stitches and said I know what you were trying to go for here and I don't think you did it. Um, okay, I cannot do messy stitches that well, I will work on it:)! Hmm, let's see, oh ya I of course antiqued the edges with my Vintage Touch Tea Dye Duo (I so need re-inkers, I have used these to death!!).
