First off - don't forget to enter my giveaway if you haven't already...it is a lot of great stuff and if you already have some of it you can always offer the extras as blog candy on your blog or ask around the PTI forum for someone to trade...or just have two, that always works too!! Anyway, leave a comment on my last post for a chance to win. I will close comments at 9pm EST tonight and pick a winner...and announce it tomorrow!
Today though I want to share some cards I made for the lastest Embellish Magazine challenge...
What a wonderful collection of colors and I love stripes...so here we go, I made three cards just cause I had the stuff out and one scrap led to another if you know what I mean!!!
- Stripes were made with Faux Ribbon on Kraft using Dark Chocolate, Plum Pudding and Fresh Snow, punched out some circles and layered with buttons.
- Stamped the pretty branch image from Blooming Button Bits on crisp SS White cardstock, I love the clean look!
- Added a scalloped edge along the bottom, cut with scalloped scissors and covered with glitter.
Supplies: Stamps - Blooming Button Bits, Faux Ribbon, Polka Dot Basics II; Ink - Plum Pudding, Fresh Snow, Dark Chocolate, Versamark (Tsueniko); Cardstock - SS White, Kraft, Plum Pudding, Dark Chocolate; Other - Circle Punches (EK Success), Scalloped Scissors (Fiskars), Prisma Glitter (Palette)
- I had extra striped paper stamped so I trimmed it into a 2" square and rounded the corners.
- Layered it with some cute hearts...first a white scalloped heart and then a "striped" heart.
- I made the striped heart by gluing strips of pattered paper in Plum Pudding and Dark Chocolate and then diecutting it after it dried. Easy peasy but oh so cute!
- The card measures 3 1/2x5 - my current favorite size!
Supplies: Stamps - Faux Ribbon, Border & Corners {heart}, Polka Dot Basics II, Love Songs; Ink - Fresh Snow, Dark Chocolate, Plum Pudding; Cardstock - Dark Chocolate, Kraft, SS White; Patterned Paper - 2008 Bitty Dot Basics, 2008 Bitty Box Basics; Other - Scalloped Heart Punch (blue-Marvy), Corner Rounder (EK Success), Heart Dies (Provo Craft)
- I had extra hearts that I cut from the "striped" paper so I made one more card!
- The striped background was made using Faux Ribbon again!
- I placed a strip of Plum Pudding cardstock behind the Kraft layer but I had to carefully cut off the little scraps between the scallops - kind of a chore but worth it for the look!
Supplies: Stamps - Faux Ribbon, Polka Dot Basics II, Signature Greetings; Ink - Fresh Snow, Plum Pudding, Dark Chocolate; Cardstock - SS White, Kraft, Plum Pudding, Dark Chocolate; Patterned Paper - 2008 Bitty Dot Basics, 2008 Bitty Box Basics; Other - Dark Chocolate and Plum Pudding Vintage Buttons, Border Punch (Martha Stewart Crafts), Heart Dies (Provo Craft)

Those are just beautiful! The shades of brown and purple are so pretty together and I love what you did with the buttons on the first card and the hearts on the others, especially the last one.
