Red Polka Dot Tin

Good Morning!  So I spent yesterday having contractions from about noon until 6 or 7, on and off, not always regular, but painful.  I was pretty sure I might end up in the hospital last night, but alas the baby has decided to wait.  The doctor did advise that I not work anymore so I am off which is nice but also difficult cause I want to do so much around the house but don't have unlimited amounts of energy.  I guess I just have to do things in spurts. 

Anyhow, here is the other tin I made last week for my friend.  She requested a "red theme" and I had this paper from Stampin' Up that I thought would be cute.  I am not sure about the name cause I used some polka dot paper and it doesn't stand out as much as I thought it would.  The flowers are from a Cuttlebug die.  Again, it is a Maya Road tin that has removable hardware.  Enjoy and have a great day!

Tuesday Spring Card

I hope everyone had a great Monday, I spent the day with a sick little boy.  He was really good but I felt so bad for him...we just spent a lot of time together snuggling, reading, and watching movies.  He is feeling much better today - popped out of bed at 6:20am ready to go.  Anyhow, back to normal I guess. 
The card I will share today I actually sent out for Easter but since it doesn't actually say Happy Easter on it, I thought it would be nice for an all around Spring card.  Shockingly almost everything on this card is SU!, except the card base and the Rain Dots.  I used the retired set Looks Like Spring and some designer paper from last year...and Taylor's sketch again.  You know I just had to have this Looks Like Spring set and this is maybe the third time I have used it.  I guess we all have lots of stuff like that.  I stamped the large flower in Regal Rose and cut it out.  Then I stamped the small flowers in Regal Rose, Tempting Turquoise, and So Saffron and punched them out with the coordinating punch.  I added the background in Old Olive and matted it on and Old Olive piece of cardstock.  Nothing too exciting to this card, but I think it turned out pretty!

Finally Friday!

Happy Friday everyone!  It is a dreary rainy day here, there was even a little new snow (slush) at our house this morning.  Makes me want to go back to bed, I have been so so tired this week.  I am blaming it on the time change, but I guess it could be the baby in my belly too!  So sorry I did not have anything worthwhile to post yesterday so I skipped blogging.  I have been working on Papertrey projects that I can't share until next week and I just didn't make time to make anything else.  I did however, dig up something to share today.  In honor of all that is good and sweet about Fridays, I found a little cupcake project.  It is a 2-5-7-10 box that I learned how to make from Splitcoast.  I used some really cute cupcake paper from Junkitz (that I accidentally turned the wrong way, oh well) and the cupcake stamp in the Big Bold Birthday set from SU!  Nothing too spectacular, but cute to put some little treats and maybe a giftcard in for a lucky birthday girl.

Friendship Blooms Again

Good Monday Morning All!  I hope you had a nice weekend.  We did, had a nice date with my hubby (went to go see the U2 3D movie since we never got to see the real concert), relaxed a bit, played with Jacob, made a little gift for one of my friends, and cleaned house.  Nothing too exciting but at least I got to sleep in!!!  I thought I would share another Friendship Blooms card that I made recently.  I am really loving this layout and I always love the green/pink combo.  This is a really nice spring type card using the Spring Fling DP and the Sale-a-Bration set, Friendship Blooms.  I colored the three flower stamp with markers for the little border and also used markers to color the sentiment.

Another SU! Day

Today I am sharing another card I made with my new SU! stuff.  I used the Sale-a-Bration set Friendship Blooms and the Love and Happiness rub-ons that coordinate to make the flowers.   I also used some of the new felt flowers, which are really pretty.  I was surprised, however, at how small of an amount it seems you get for the money.  The patterned paper is not SU!, it is from Imaginisce and is called Wildflower Soup.  It has some really neat bright flowers in it and the colors coordinate well with some of SU!'s.  The red strip on the bottom with the small flowers is the reverse side of the patterned paper.  The sentiment is also a rub-on and was cut out with the Word Window punch.

SU! Monday

Happy Monday everyone!  Can't believe it is the last week of February already!  I have been so focused on all things Papertrey that I haven't used any SU! items in a while.  Last week I got some new stuff and decided to use some of it.  This card uses the new Sale-a-bration set So Many Scallops and the designer paper Ginger Blossom.  I really like the color combo in the paper, it is different for me and so pretty.  The cardbase is Ruby Red and the flower is stamped in Cameo Coral.  The sentiment is stamped in Cameo Coral.

SU! Card

Thought I would quickly share an SU! card I made last week.  I finally decided to use my "A Beautiful Thing" stamp set and the gorgeous Bali Breeze designer paper.  I love all the designs in the Bali Breeze paper and have seen some fabulous cards made with it.  Anyhow, my card is pretty straight forward, just stamped the larger solid and linear flowers in Apricot Appeal, Tempting Turquoise, and Rose Red.  For each one the solid image was stamped off once and the linear image was stamped full strength.  I cut them out and added a few little dots with my white gel pen and some sprinkle brads (by K&Company I think) to the centers.  The cardbase is pumpkin pie, then a mat of Apricot Appeal, Bali Breeze paper with corners punched with the ticket corner punch and white brads added.  I added a strip of the coordinating side of Bali Breeze paper, a strip of tempting turquoise with some Eastern Elegance rubons applied.  I thought it needed a sentiment so I stupidly added one with the rubons, but I would probably leave that off or do it on a solid little piece of paper next time.
