Can someone tell me how June has passed so quickly? That's how summer always is, I guess, over before it even began! At least we had a great June, birthdays, baseball, sunshine, swimming, s'mores...a great month! Looking forward to a great July too! I have one more Mint Motif card to share today. I had this idea for a number background for a while now and finally executed it. I just started stamping the large numbers from I've Got Your Number on the patterned paper, fitting things together as I went along. I really like how it turned out and would like to do a version with different colors on a white background. Then I just had to use my new-ish Nested Pennants dies, which are on sale at i {heart} papers right now! I die cut the small banner pieces from some more School Spirit patterned paper, which is full of really great "boy" prints. I added tiny punched stars and another banner turned sideways along the bottom for the sentiment.
Supplies: Stamps - I've Got Your Number, What a Card (Mint Motif); Ink - Tuxedo Black (Memento), Oceean Tides (PTI); Cardstock - Dark Chocolate (PTI); Patterned Paper - School Spirit (Crate Paper); Other - Pennant Dies (Spellbinders), Buttons, Star Punch (Fiskars), Circle Punch (EK Success), Twine (Divine Twine)
Thanks for visiting! Have a fabulous 4th of July!!! Don't forget I have a bunch of Papertrey ribbon for sale...make me an offer:)!!
Happy Tuesday! I am sharing another 4th of July card today, again made with Mint Motif stamps. I thought since I already had all my supplies out I would make another card. This one uses School Basics and I've Got Your Number to create the patterned paper. I used my new Memento Dew Drops in Summer Sky and Paris Dusk for the stars, I love this ink, it works great with clear stamps. Anyhow, I then paper pieced another "4" and adhered it to a blue circle and layered some cool fabric tape that I got at i {heart} papers, I don't see this specific variety in the store anymore but there are lots more kinds here.
Anyhow, now I just need to get the two 4th of July cards in the mail to some friends...that's always the challenge right?! Also, if you are looking for the ribbon sale, I moved it to it's own page...just look for the link on my sidebar or click here. Thanks for visiting, have a great day!
I cannot believe that next week is the 4th of July! I had some fun over the weekend playing with Mint Motif stamps and created a few fun things that I will show you this week. The first is a festive 4th of July card using I've Got Your Number, What a Card! (happy), and School Basics (star). I paired these stamps with some fabulous patterned paper from the Lilly Bee Picket Fence collection, which I also got at i {heart} papers. Speaking of ihp, you might want to take a look at the great Pre-CHA Sale Kate is running right now, seriously great deals on many many items! I also used the Lacey Circles dies from Spellbinders for the focal point.
Supplies: Stamps - I've Got Your Number, What a Card!, School Basics (Mint Motif); Ink - Black, Rhubarb (Memento), Icy Blue (Clearsnap); Cardstock - SS White, True Black (Papertrey Ink); Patterned Paper - Picket Fence (Lilly Bee Designs); Other - Lacey Circles (Spellbinders), Circle Punch (EK Success)
Thanks for stopping by today, more inspiration to come this week so stay tuned!
Happy Saturday! Hopefully it is a glorious day wherever you are...it is beautiful here, not too hot, sunny and pretty. I love the picture Nichole shared as inspiration for this month's Papertrey Ink Blog Hop, the colors just scream summer. I have lots of ideas using the color scheme, but chose to just apply ink directly to my cardstock for this card, after embossing flowers from Friends 'til the End using clear powder. I absolutely LOVE how this turned out, I only added some simple embellishments to the card after that...like a Limitless Layers die cut stamped with the smaller flower from the same set in Fresh Snow ink and the sentiment stamped using the same rainbow of colors. I thought the flowers could use a little more punch so I added clear stickers from EK Success (PTI used to carry these, not sure if they do anymore). I am disappointed how washed out the sentiment seems in this picture, it is perfectly matched in real life and looks great!
Supplies: Stamps - Friends 'til the End (PTI); Cardstock - Kraft, SS White (PTI); Ink - Celery (Fresh Ink), Spring Moss, Sweet Blush, Melon Berry, Berry Sorbet, Raspberry Fizz, Aqua Mist (PTI); Other - Limitless Layers Dies (PTI), Clear Rhinestone (Martha Stewar Crafts), Epoxy Stickers (EK Success)
Thanks for stopping by today! Make sure to visit other hoppers today for lots of inspiration! Happy Weekend!

Happy Summer! It finally feels like summer around here, we are enjoying the lazy days and fun activities! We are going swimming today and the boys are very excited! Last week we went to the county fair, the boys had a blast riding rides and visiting the animals. This week they also get to go to their first MLB game, going to see our Giants play the Twins (which is hubby's team)! Mikey is working on potty training and doing awesome, I am so proud of him. I didn't think he would ever do it...but suddenly he is excited about it, hooray! So that's a little of what's happening around here, hope summer is treating you well too!
I thought I would share this happy card today, I made it for one of my cousins who graduated from college this year. I love the happy colors! That cool butterfly is from Inkadinkado, I got it at Joann's for a buck! I masked it off and stamped the leaves behind it, then added flowers and a few jewels, I needed to make it mailable so I kept the bulky embellishments to a minimum.
One more thing before we get on with our day...make sure to go check out the Stampendous blog for the winners of the Jumbo Blog Hop! Have a fabulous day!! Thanks for visiting!
I recently got the lovely Lawn Fawn set, Lunar Lights from i {heart} papers! I love it, full of such pretty images, I was most excited to paper piece some of them. This card is the result of my efforts, paper pieced with some Sassafras Lass paper (Count Me In collection) and the background piece is from the Restoration collection from Crate Paper. I was so excited that they coordinated so well! Anyhow, not much to this simple card, just a simple layout and pretty colors!
So there you have it, a little inspiration for you on this beautiful Tuesday! Thank you for visiting and thank you so much for all of your kind words on my Stampendous blog hop project, there is still time to enter to win some of those lovely jumbos for yourself, you have until tonight at midnight to enter. Have a spectacular week!
Hello and welcome to the Stampendous Blog Hop, we are featuring the latest Cling Jumbo flowers for this fun hop, they are:
They are all so pretty, I had a hard time deciding which one to use. In the end though I chose the beautiful dogwood, because there are lots of dogwood trees in bloom around Northern California right now and I love love love them! I chose to interpret a beautiful pink dogwood, like this-
Isn't it gorgeous? I used colored pencils and some gamsol to color my dogwood, it is stamped on kraft cardstock first. I really like how colored pencils look on kraft cardstock, gives the color a bit more depth I think. After coloring my image, I carefully trimmed it out, this is kind of a chore but so worth the extra effort for a special card. Or if you didn't want to trim the whole thing, consider just trimming out the main flower and popping it up to give your card some dimension.
Before adhering the trimmed out flower, I stamped the Dream Text Background on a white cardbase using Frayed Burlap Distress ink, I added some Spun Sugar and Old Paper Distress inks around the edges too. I also trimmed a strip of pink cardstock and punched a scalloped edge along the top before adding a sentiment (from Happy Messages Perfectly Clear Set) , button and some coordinating twine. I love how all these simple embellishments allow the flower to stand out and be the star of the card.
Now just a few of my thoughts about the Jumbo Cling stamps from Stampendous:
So if all of these projects weren't enough, Stampendous is giving some of these flowers away. All you have to do is comment on all 13 blogs and your name will be entered to win! Here is the order of hoppin', be sure to check out all the stampy goodness out there!
Woo, that's a lot of hoppin' right? So get settled in and enjoy! Thank you so much for visiting! Have a fabulous weekend!
Good Morning!! I thought it was the perfect day to share a fun birthday card featuring a pretty butterfly and a variety of Stampendous stamps! For a few reasons...first being that it is my stepmom's birthday and I want to wish her a very Happy Birthday...second, Stampendous is hosting a Jumbo Cling Blog Hop on Saturday, June 11th. All of the designers will be participating, that's 13 blogs to visit for inspiration featuring the brand new Jumbo Cling flowers (Tulip, Tiger Lily, and Dogwood), and of course there will be prizes. So make sure to come back and visit Saturday, the hop starts at 8am PST on Saturday!
Anyhow, this card is pretty simple with Stampendous' Dream Text, Jumbo Cling Dahlia (the flourish) and Orchid Greetings (sentiment) used and the embellishment made from some fancy patterned paper from My Mind's Eye.
Thank you so much for visiting today and I hope to see you Saturday! Have a great rest of the week!
Happy Birthday to my sweet little boy, Mikey! I cannot believe how fast these three years have gone! You are fiesty and funny and full of energy! It is so fun to see you grow and change, thankfully you are still a mama's boy through and through! We all love you so much!
We are all moved in to our new place and so happy to be here. My crafty space still needs some work so I haven't stamped yet but that's okay! Now if only the weather would warm up we would all be happy, it has been cold and rainy for like 2 weeks straight! Hopefully we will see some sunshine the rest of this week!
Here is the birthday card I made for Mikey, using some Hero Arts stamps...Joy Ride, Friendly Flags and an older alphabet set. I used lots of distress inks and some Basic Grey Kraft Basics paper. The "birthday wishes" sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.
Thanks for visiting, hopefully I will be blogging a bit more now that we are moved! Have a great week!
