Happy Monday everyone! Did you all place your Papertrey orders yet? I can't wait to see all of your projects with the new sets. I am going to showcase Boxes, Bags, and Tags and Favor it Weddings today by showing you a few projects I made with them. My assignment for the release was to create a favor with the "Perfect Match" sentiment and I chose to make a candle favor. I found these really yummy grapefruit candles at my local drugstore and they match Sweet Blush perfectly so I picked up a few. I melted them inside the 4 oz. clear top tin from Papertrey, this is really easy and quick to do, if you need any tips just ask. I then decorated the outside using the new colors, stamps and ribbon. I finished it off by tying some of the satin ribbon on with a single wooden match through it. I also dotted the centers of the larger flowers with Liquid Pearls.
The next favor I made I literally had a dream about before the release. I know that is weird but some of my greatest inspiration comes during sleep! I have received CD's as keepsakes at a couple of events, one for a wedding and one for an anniversary. The couple usually includes songs that are meaningful to them and the only way I have gotten them is in the plastic CD case. I decided the packaging could be made really pretty without a whole lot of effort. I made a little pocket for the CD and stamped a pattern on it. Then I just made a belly band with a label - Love Notes - and their monogram. The CD itself can be decorated using those printable CD labels, I just stamped all over it and used the new Simple Alphabet to spell their names and Wedding Day for the date. This is a hypothetical favor for my sister and her fiance, we don't know when they are getting married but it will be sometime in the next two years.
For the last gallery project I did, I made a card with the set, just to show it's versatility. I used the new color Berry Sorbet and Spring Moss from last month, I think they look marvelous together. I just made my own background, used some ribbon, a little Cuttlebug flower and tag and put it all together. The card closes on the side and the ribbon wraps all the way around.
Now here is a bonus project, I made another candle favor but instead I made it more of a gift. I think this would work well in a little bath & body gift basket or just as a little thank you for someone. I used all the Papertrey colors, they coordinate really well and made a band for the tin. Then I stamped the smaller flower on the Sweet Blush twill in the other three colors. I made the label with a Marvy scalloped square punch and various regular square punches. I might add a little ribbon around the whole thing and a tag when I give it away.
Can you tell how much I love the flower in this set? It is so cute and versatile. I think it will be a nice addition to cards made with Beautiful Blooms as well. Tomorrow I plan to showcase my Wedding Day projects with an extra card I made this weekend that I LOVE!!! Have a great Monday, come back for a visit tomorrow!
Oh I was drooling over your tin when Nichole showed it on her blog last week. It's wonderful! I can't wait to see what you do with the wedding sets- mine are on their way right now!

Great projects, Geny! I love that flower, too. It was one of the reasons I wanted the set. I love the pinks and green together on your card and how you stamped on the cd. Love your work!
