We are lucky enough to live in a very beautiful part of Northern California, about 10 minutes from Apple Hill, which is generally pretty touristy this time of year but definitely worth a visit. We only went to two ranches and got a bag of delicious apples but we did have a fun time. Michael was a little cold but he didn't cry too much. Jacob had a great time running around and looking at the trees and picking out apples, he ate one down to the core when we got home. We will probably make some caramel apples tonight.
The wonderful cool fall weather has also made me in a cooking/baking mood. I made these delicious cookies the other day, seriously they are awesome!! The recipe is from the Barefoot Contessa Parties cookbook, which is great. Only her recipe calls for white chocolate chips (delicious) but I use these Nestle peanut butter chocolate swirl chips cause my husband loves them. I love these warm with a cold glass of milk!
I finally finished uploading all my Papertrey projects for the month, I can't wait to show them all. I think this is my favorite release and you will love all the inspiration that the designers have to offer. Have a great rest of the weekend, we will be enjoying homemade calzones tonight and my hubby has tomorrow off (so do I)!!!
What a beautiful picture of you and your boys- you look so happy! This time of year is so great with kids, we love apple picking too! Can't wait to see your PTI creations!

HI Geny! Sounds like you had a wonderful day. The kids are adorable. Thanks for the recipe link. They look yummy. Will you share your caramel apple recipe? I have a gazillion apples still from our tree and I can't fit any more pies in the freezer...haha. And the calzones sound great too. Must try those one day too. Can't wait to see your projects in a few days!!

How fun. My family used to go cherry picking when I was young. It would be nice to be able to do something like that with my boys.
Love the cookes, look so good, besides, the barefoot contessa? love her stuff. And you are making calzones, omgosh, you are making me so hungry and I just ate hehehe. Have a great day!!!
