I can't wait to share this card because I love how it turned out. This is my current favorite color combination, Pure Poppy, Ocean Tides, Dark Chocolate, and Vintage Cream - aren't they lovely together?! I based this card on one Nichole made last release - see this post, I really love those cards she made with Heart Prints. I decided to mask off the hearts in the boxes I punched out and put some of the sentiments behind them in alternating colors. It was super easy to mask the hearts since they match that heart punch, just punch a heart out of post-it or eclipse paper, works like a charm. I added the smallest heart in the layered hearts from a small EK Success heart punch I have, it the next size down from the smaller one Papertrey sells.
Here are the squares up close, I mounted them on Dark Chocolate that I stamped with Polka Dot Basics in Vintage Cream ink. I added scalloped edges to the top and bottom of the panel and just had to put that little Amuse twinkle heart sticker on the small heart, love those!
And here is a close up of the sentiment and one of my favorite ways to add ribbon, just tie a little on the side for a cute accent!
Supplies:
Stamps - Heart Prints, Polka Dot Basics(PTI)
Ink - Pure Poppy, Dark Chocolate, Ocean Tides, Vintage Cream, Spring Moss (PTI)
Paper - Vintage Cream, Ocean Tides, Pure Poppy, Dark Chocolate (PTI)
Other - Pure Poppy Satin Ribbon(PTI), Slot Punch (SU!), Square Punch (Marvy), Heart Punches(EK Success), Scallop Border Punch (SU!), Heart Twinkle Stickers (Amuse)
I am just hitting the tip of the iceberg for all the ideas I have for this set, I love it so much!!! Are you all enjoying Nichole and the other girls' sneak peeks? I love what everyone is making and can't wait to share my projects in a couple of days! Have a great evening!
What a pretty little valentine's card... love that it isn't in the "traditional" colors... can't wait to see your projects for the PTI release- Go Geny!
