Edited to Add - Hooray, this project got picked up for publication! Look for it later this year! Thanks for all the support!
I cannot believe how lucky I am to have worked with Papertrey Ink this past year. I have been blessed to get to know some amazing women and work with products that are top notch in every way. I have also been excited to work with all the different stamp designers and their styles, they all bring something wonderful to the Papertrey line. I am so looking forward to the coming year and all that it will bring from Papertrey! In that vein I really wanted to make a piece of art that embodies all the 2008 has meant to me with regards to Papertrey. One of the big things Papertrey did this year was introduce their Perfect Match color collection, matching cardstock, ink, and ribbon. I love every color Nichole has chosen and the products are unparalleled. I decided to include all the colors in some way and also a sampling of at least one stamp set from each of the designers (I used only stamp sets that were released last year). I am really enjoying looking at this piece of art for inspiration and it was so fun to create each of these little squares. First, here is a look at the overall piece I created.
I took a few close ups of some of my favorite squares - I actually like them all but thought some needed a closer look to see the details.
So that's Rustic Branches stamped in Ripe Avocado ink on Spring Moss cardstock. Next to that is Polka Dot Basics embossed with clear EP on Pure Poppy cardstock and "love" from Rustic Branches on SS White. Then a simple square of the lovely Men of Life Patterned Paper collection. Next row features bees and sentiment from the Honey Bees set, stamped in Fresh Snow ink on True Black cardstock. Next to that is more Polka Dot Basics on Ripe Avocado. Finally a flower from Floral Frenzy stamped in Summer Sunrise on Lemon Tart cardstock with a cool button in the middle.
I really like this square, especially cause I love Aqua Mist and that heart shaped button is so very cute!!! The Aqua Mist was embossed with the Swiss Dots embossing folder using the Cuttlebug and the heart was cut out of white felt with a hearts die.
This square might be my favorite (and you will be seeing a card using the same concept later in the week). Anyhow, it uses the With Sympathy set with Spring Rain cardstock and ink, love how those little pearls look added to the flowers.
This one uses my favorite set of the moment, Heart Prints for the small heart and the LoVe Songs set for the simple background on Sweet Blush cardstock and ink. I added stickles for a little something extra.
Here's the Dark Chocolate square which uses the Background Basics: Stars stamped with the matching ink and a little of the Dark Chocolate Satin Ribbon tucked in. You can also see the Lavender Moon square which was stamped with a swirly background using one of the swirls from Out of the Box in the matching ink.
And one more overall pic - let me know if you like it, I really wanted it to showcase PTI, its diversity as well as it's overall style. I love working with this incredible company! Thanks for one amazing year!!!
Make sure to keep stopping by here and all the designers blogs for more fun inspiration and celebration of Papertrey's 2nd Anniversary!! Today Nichole is celebrating Papertrey's 2009 stamp designers!! They are all amazing women so make sure you visit their blogs to welcome them!
