Banner Birthday

 
Can someone tell me how June has passed so quickly?  That's how summer always is, I guess, over before it even began!  At least we had a great June, birthdays, baseball, sunshine, swimming, s'mores...a great month!  Looking forward to a great July too!  I have one more Mint Motif card to share today.  I had this idea for a number background for a while now and finally executed it.  I just started stamping the large numbers from I've Got Your Number on the patterned paper, fitting things together as I went along.  I really like how it turned out and would like to do a version with different colors on a white background.  Then I just had to use my new-ish Nested Pennants dies, which are on sale at i {heart} papers right now!  I die cut the small banner pieces from some more School Spirit patterned paper, which is full of really great "boy" prints.  I added tiny punched stars and another banner turned sideways along the bottom for the sentiment.

Another 4th of July Card

 
Happy Tuesday!  I am sharing another 4th of July card today, again made with Mint Motif stamps.  I thought since I already had all my supplies out I would make another card.  This one uses School Basics and I've Got Your Number to create the patterned paper.  I used my new Memento Dew Drops in Summer Sky and Paris Dusk for the stars, I love this ink, it works great with clear stamps.  Anyhow, I then paper pieced another "4" and adhered it to a blue circle and layered some cool fabric tape that I got at i {heart} papers, I don't see this specific variety in the store anymore but there are lots more kinds here.

I cannot believe that next week is the 4th of July!  I had some fun over the weekend playing with Mint Motif stamps and created a few fun things that I will show you this week.  The first is a festive 4th of July card using I've Got Your Number, What a Card! (happy), and School Basics (star).  I paired these stamps with some fabulous patterned paper from the Lilly Bee Picket Fence collection, which I also got at i {heart} papers.  Speaking of ihp, you might want to take a look at the great Pre-CHA Sale Kate is running right now, seriously great deals on many many items!  I also used the Lacey Circles dies from Spellbinders for the focal point.

Teacher Thanks

 
As most of you paper crafters know, today is the day for acceptance emails for Paper Crafts' book A Card a Day...and sadly I did not get one.  But lots of other talented designers did and the issue is sure to be fabulous.  So I now have lots of cards to share, which I guess is good since we are moving at the end of next week and I do not know when my crafty space will be set up again.  Here is the first one, my favorite of the bunch that I submitted.  It uses Mint Motif's School Basics set (available at i {heart} papers) for a nice little teacher card, which I will definitely be giving Jakey's teacher at the end of school next week.  Anyhow, I used the cute little apple in the set to create a quick background on the top of the cream piece and the handwriting lines at the bottom.  The border is just a scrap I found and thought looked good to bring the piece together.  The "thanks" is a Provo Craft die which is really cute...I pulled it out after seeing PTI's word dies that they released this month.

Good Morning!  First of all, thank you for all of your orders the past few days, I am happy to know that my stamps will be going to good homes:)!  We are moving in a couple of weeks and I would like to get my stuff organized beforehand so that includes getting rid of things...there are more sets and some paper still available on the previous post below.  Anyhow, life is good...been creating but holding back some stuff since I am planning on submitting to the current PC call for the next A Card a Day book.  I have last years book and it is great, such a perfect sourse of inspiration.  So, here is a card that I made quite a while ago using a Hero Arts flower & sentiment, Mint Motif border, and PTI border.  I made the frame using two PTI dies, I love it!!  I stamped just the leaf/stem end of the flower to create the pattern on the frame.  Okay, not too much else to share today....I hope life is good for everyone.  Thanks for visiting today!

Birthday Wishes

 
Wow, this week has flown by!!  Today I have a simple birthday card made with Mint Motif stamps.  I used Beyond Borders to create the graduated background, I stamped it with Versamark, then embossed it.  I added a vellum butterfly which I die cut and embossed, adding a shiny silver button (which was probably an extra from a shirt) to the center.  The sentiment along the bottom is from Very Square Sentiments, stamped on a Labels 17 die cut.  At the last minute I added some pretty twine (Divine Twine in Aqua) to the edge.

I want to dedicate this birthday card to the fabulous Becky Oehlers, who is celebrating today...stop by her blog and leave her some love!!  And it's also my equally fabulous cousin Lindsey's birthday, I love ya!!  Have a great day!!

Pinwheels

 
I had some fun making these cute pinwheels yesterday, I used Stella & Rose Gertie patterned paper (of course)!  Aren't they cute?  I had to make a card to go with them, so I stamped a background using Mint Motif's Beyond Borders in coordinating colors and added the sentiment at an angle (from School Basics).  So unusual for me to venture outside my straight up and down style...but I like the whimsical feel the card has to it!

Anniversary Heart

 
Happy Monday (night)!  Having a good start to the week?  We had a little rain today and it is a bit cold, but it is Spring Break so it's all good!  I made this fun little card over the weekend using Mint Motif stamps and other fun goodies from i {heart} papers!  I used What a Card to make the woodgrain heart and the sentiment (it's on sale right now too!).  The polka dot embossed background was made using the Quickutz small polka dots embossing folder, always a great pattern!  The little striped strip of patterned paper is from the Stella & Rose Gertie collection from My Mind's Eye, which is just a perfect collection of paper, I love every piece!

Happy Wednesday!  I made this card last week but never got a chance to photograph it much less post it.  I got the sketch from last week's Clean & Simple sketch, which is a fun one.  I can definitely see using it again.  I used a bunch of Mint Motif sets to create it...Very Square, Very Square Sentiments, School Basics and Beyond Borders.  Isnt' it fun to mix sets and create one cohesive card?!  I stamped the flowers and then punched them with a Marvy flower punch, so so cute!!  The stems and leaves were made with School Basics.  All of these sets are available exclusively at i {heart} papers and right now they are all on sale!

Mint Motif Birthday

Happy Saturday evening!  I hope you are all enjoying your day and weekend!  I have had kind of a long day, not bad, just exhausting.  I made this fun card the other day with Mikey, he loves to tell me his colors and this card is just full of fun color.  I used Mint Motif's Beyond Borders to create the zig zags, clear embossed, and added color with a fun spectrum of Distress inks.  I then used Very Square and Very Square Sentiments to finish it off...a sentiment on a vellum strip and some stars heat embossed with a pattern from Very Square.
