One Week...

 
Only one more week until Christmas, eeek, I have many things to accomplish before then...like wrapping about a million gifts and making two little boys a special gift...and now Jacob is home for two weeks.  I have a few fun things planned and it is supposed to rain for the next week so I better get creative!!  Anyhow, here is one more simple Christmas card...

 
...and yes, I know I keep using the same basic design but it works and I like it:)!  Anyhow, making this short tonight...have a wonderful weekend!!

Simple Christmas

 
Just popping in to share one of the simple Christmas cards I created this year.  I know there is only a bit of time before Christmas but I also know I usually have to make at least one or two cards at the last minute...usually for those hand delivered gifts.  So maybe this will inspire you:)!  Anyhow, I love all the white space on this one and the little berries with just the tiniest bit of glitter!  And of course I couldn't stay away from the lovely red and white baker's twine - you can get some at Niki's Etsy store, Apple Blossom Paperie!  Speaking of Etsy, I have been spending way too much time on that site perusing all the pretty things, there is so much talent out there!   I hope you are all enjoying the week, this is our last week of school before our two week break!  Looking forward to all the family time for sure!

Last Trendy Day of Christmas - Penants

 
I am so thrilled that I had made time to create a card for this challenge, Kimberly's last Trendy Day of Christmas, because the theme today is one trend that I am loving!!!  Penants..banners...whatever they are called to you, they are fun and pack such a punch whether you are making a card or decorating for a party.  I am trying to make a Christmas one for the house but I haven't gotten very far yet!!  For this card I used my favorite Basic Grey Jovial paper collection...added some swirls (from My Cute Stamps Let it Snow set) to the edges of the label die cut and a few letters (from PTI's Fresh Alphabet), simple!

Heirloom Ornaments

 
Today's super fun 12 Trendy Days of Christmas is focusing on heirloom ornaments, which seem to be so popular right now.  Kimberly has some great inspiration over on her blog so be sure to visit her too! 

 
I decided to use an adorable small kraft gable box (from Apple Blossom Paperie etsy store - thanks Niki!) and decorate it!  The patterned paper with the ornaments, which I love, is from Basic Grey's Jovial collection (I have the 6x6 pad)...it is the only Christmas paper line I bought this year.  I added a strip of minicheck red fabric tape too...have you guys used it??  It is so cute and fun, I can't wait to get more!!!  I am just so excited about this little box, I can't wait to fill it with goodies and give it someone for Christmas!

Christmas Tags Galore

 
Sharing a collage of a portion of my tag collection (so far) for 2010, I am in love with making cute tags to tie to pretty packages.  I cannot wait use some of these for my own gifts this Christmas!  I have listed these tags and a few others in my Etsy shop for anyone interested but mostly I just hope to inspire you to use those stamps to make some pretty tags of your own this holiday season!  Make it a wonderful day!!!

Fun Photo Books

Happy Monday!  Are you ready for another week?  Can't believe Jacob only has one more week and is out for Thanksgiving week.  I made it through the craft show on Friday with pretty good success, of course I brought stuff home but that is to be expected.  The main goal was to make enough money for Christmas to be a little more comfortable and I succeeded at that so I feel good about it.  And I have stuff left that will be going in my Etsy shop and on the blog so that is fun too! 

I have a couple of fun mini photo books to share today.  I made these after I saw the project on Lisa Johnson's blog a few weeks ago.  It is the cutest little book and makes a great gift, I am hoping to fill these will photos and give them as gifts this year, they are great little brag books.  The first one uses one of my favorite color combos of late, chartreuse and a rich yellow.

 
I think each one ended up with about 16 "pages" and took about 4 sheets of cardstock to make, not bad for a little gift.  And you can definitely add more embellishments to dress it up more, but I kept both of mine pretty simple, I will let the pictures steal the show.  The second one I have to share today is a definite fall color mix, I love it!

 
So how was the weekend for all of you...I had a good one, got crafty and made tags with a good friend, saw Megamind with the kids today...Mikey's first movie theater experience and he was really good for not even being 2 1/2, didn't even have to take him out once.  He did tell me he was ready to go home before the movie even started but I think that is cause he is a bit scared of the dark.  We have a big day today, Mikey is getting tubes in his ears this morning which will make for a lot better winter I am sure.  Anyhow, I will be back this week with more fun projects and will be adding lots of new stuff to my Etsy shop too!  Thank you for visiting today, have a good one!

Christmas Tags

 
Hello there!  Long time huh?  Sorry to have been so scarce this last week or so, but I have been busy and the kids have been sick.  The business has come from preparing for the craft show I am participating in this Friday.  Not sure if I am ready but I have a couple of days right?!  Anyhow, I have something to share, something simple but fun.  I used some cute tags and twine from my friend Niki's etsy store, Apple Blossom Paperie to create a set of Christmas-y tags.  I used PTI's Turning a New Leaf and Peaceful Poinsettia along with a To/From stamp from a SEI set.  I also antiqued the edges with Antique Linen Distress ink, the tags started out white.

Sweet November

 
November has arrived and I can't believe it....time moves so quickly and I am trying to savor all the deliciousness of this season, my favorite of the four.  Halloween was crazy, busy and fun...Mikey decided yesterday to change costumes and be an army guy like his brother.  I am guessing that will be a trend for a few years...dressing like his big brother.  I thought I would share a scrappy little vintagey card tonight with a pretty butterfly and some doilies and lace.  I really like this color combo and will definitely turn to it again in the future!

On another note....the Giants won the World Series (my dad was 6 months old the last time this happened) and we could not be more excited!!!!!!  AMAZING team and such a fun series to watch!!!  Great job!!!  And today I am grateful for this...that our team finally won:)!!!

Friendship Flowers

 
Hello friends, hope you are all having a fabulous day!  Mine has been busy, running errands with the little one, but we are home now and I have other things to accomplish.  We are all also SUPER excited to watch the Giants play tonight and hopefully win and make it to the World Series!!  My boys have so much fun watching, dressed them both in Giants shirts today!  Hooray, GO GIANTS!!! 

Okay...sorry that is out of my system for now.  I have a fun floral card to share today, I used this super pretty new "solid peony" stamp I got at Impress.  I ordered more Fresh Ink and just couldn't resist adding that pretty stamp to my cart!  In fact I used one of my new colors, Fuschia, for the flowers on the focal point, it matches Raspberry Fizz from PTI.  And take a look at that white cotton twine, I got it from my sweet friend Niki's Etsy shop, she has some really fun stuff!  I really like how it ties and the thickness is great!

Hello Monday

 
Hello and Happy Monday!  I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!  I got a lot of stuff accomplished and it felt good...I am sure I haven't mentioned it but I am doing a craft show in November and I have tons of stuff to prepare!  It is a little overwhelming but I have made some progress, it would be easier if I could clone myself though:)!  Anyhow, simple quick card without a lot of bulk for easy mailing...I used this beautiful stamp from Hero Arts, seriously I LOVE it!  Added a little bumpy green dotted strip and some text at the bottom, just a few little details...oh ya and I added glitter to the flower.

 
I also found a little time to update my Etsy shop with more embellishments and a few other items this weekend in case you are interested.  I will return tomorrow with a special fun blog hop so come on over!  Have a great start to the week!
